One Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Interstate 70 in Wyandotte County, KS

Wyandotte County — September 13, 2023, a man was injured in a semi-truck collision on Interstate 70 near mile marker 225.2 in Wyandotte County, KS.

Authorities indicate that on September 13, an accident occurred when a semi-truck and a Ford pickup collided in Wyandotte County for unknown reasons. According to reports, the collision happened around 3:44 in the afternoon.

Investigators say the Ford pickup was traveling west along Interstate 70 when it suddenly drove off the roadway. Sources say the pickup attempted to enter back onto the interstate and was struck by an oncoming semi-truck. The crash occurred near mile marker 225.2.

Officials confirmed that the pickup driver, a 40-year-old man whose name has not been released, suffered severe injuries in the accident. The man was reportedly taken to an area hospital for medical attention. His condition is unknown at this time.

No other injuries were reported.
