Promise McCree Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident on I-30 near Akard St. in Dallas, TX

Dallas, TX — September 4, 2023, Promise McCree was injured in an alleged hit-and-run around 5:30 a.m. on I-30 near Akard St. in Dallas.

Sources report Ms. McCree was involved in a minor single-vehicle accident while she was traveling along I-30. She reportedly exited her vehicle to assess the damage and was struck by another car. The driver of this second vehicle pulled over, called for help, and attempted to assist Ms. McCree until the first responders arrived.

Investigators report while the second driver was attempting to get Ms. McCree out of the road, a black SUV hit the victim and then fled from the scene. The collision with the hit-and-run reportedly left the victim with life-threatening injuries and needing over 10 surgeries.

Police are asking the public for help in locating the driver of the SUV.
