David McKeethan Jr. Killed in Pedestrian-Car Accident on Highway 31 in Tyler, TX

Tyler, TX — September 6, 2023, David McKeethan Jr. was killed in a pedestrian-car accident around 11:50 p.m. on Highway 31 in Tyler.

Sources report the 27-year-old victim was a pedestrian on Hwy. 31 W. near Morgan Avenue off West Loop 323, when he was struck by a grey SUV.

Several first responder crews reportedly were called to the accident, and medics attempted life-saving measures, but Mr. McKeethan Jr. was ultimately pronounced deceased at the accident scene.

The driver of the SUV purportedly remained at the incident and was uninjured.

Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
