Dale Man, Child Injured in Car Accident on Colorado Street in Lockhart, TX

Lockhart, TX — August 19, 2023, a Dale man and a child were injured following a car accident at around 9:46 p.m. along North Colorado Street.

Authorities said in their statements that the crash took place in the area of the Colorado Street/Highway 183 and Silent Valley Parkway/F.M. 2001 intersection.

According to currently available information, a 24-year-old Dale man was in a Nissan Altima traveling northbound on the highway. A 17-year-old was driving a Mazda pickup southbound along the highway. At the intersection, police say that the Nissan was making a left turn when it and the Mazda collided.

As a result of the crash, an 8-year-old boy in the Mazda had incapacitating injuries. The Dale man's injuries were said to be non-incapacitating. Two others in the Mazda were left in unspecified condition. No further information about the accident can be confirmed.
