Candace Hammond Injured in Car Accident in North Richland Hills, TX

North Richland Hills, TX — August 26, 2023, Candace Hammond was injured as the result of a car accident at around 5:54 p.m. along Loop 820.

According to details released by authorities, the incident took place along westbound lanes of the freeway in the area of Highway 26.

Investigators said that 48-year-old Candace Hammond was in a Toyota Corolla going westbound along the freeway. While doing so, it appears a Kia Forte somehow crashed into the back of the Toyota. That driver then allegedly fled the scene, but details suggest they were later apprehended.

As a result of the collision, Hammond reportedly had incapacitating injuries. The driver of the Toyota, identified as Roland Whitford Jr., may have been injured, as well. The Kia driver was allegedly intoxicated when authorities arrested them. Right now, further information cannot be confirmed.
