Marcos Cordero Perez, Nathan Allan Beck Injured in Car Accident in Hewitt, TX

McLennan County, TX — August 20, 2023, Marcos Cordero Perez and Nathan Beck were injured following a car accident at around 5:59 a.m. along Hewitt Drive.

Authorities said in their statements that the incident took place in the area of the Hewitt Drive/F.M. 1695 and Windhill Road intersection.

According to officials, 30-year-old Marcos Cordero Perez was in a vehicle going southbound along Hewitt Drive. 19-year-old Nathan Beck was in a northbound Mazda. In a series of events not confirmed at this time, the Mazda went into southbound lanes, and it collided with Cordero Perez's vehicle.

Due to the crash, both Cordero Perez and Beck sustained injuries. Beck was said to have incapacitating injuries while details at this time suggest Cordero Perez had non-incapacitating injuries. Currently, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
