One Injured in Truck Accident on Highway 146 in Liberty County, TX

Liberty County, TX — August 8, 2023, one person was injured in a collision with a semi-truck around 8:02 a.m. on Highway 146 in Liberty County.

According to investigators, the victim was traveling north in a Jeep Grand Cherokee when a Freightliner tractor-trailer reportedly turned out from C.R. 2132 into the Jeep's path. The driver-side of the Jeep's nose reportedly struck the passenger side of the trailer. The impact allegedly forced the Jeep off the road in a rollover accident.

The Jeep's driver was purportedly taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
