James Ward & Virginia Ward Injured in Truck Accident on Hwy. 36 in Comanche County, TX

Comanche County, TX — August 9, 2023, James and Virginia Ward were injured in a semi-truck accident around 3:28 p.m. on Hwy. 36 in Comanche County.

According to officials, the victims were heading northwest on Hwy. 36 in a Chevy Colorado when their vehicle was reportedly rear-ended by an International tractor-trailer. The initial impact allegedly forced the victims' pickup truck forward into the back of another semi-truck.

The vehicles were allegedly stopping due to a temporary stop sign held by a construction worker at an active construction site. Authorities claim the tractor-trailer failed to reduce its speed.

James Ward reportedly suffered possible injuries and Virginia Ward reportedly sustained serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.
