Robert Montie Killed in Vehicle Accident in Jefferson Davis Parish, LA

Jefferson Davis Parish, LA — September 8, 2023, 84-year-old Robert Montie was killed in a car accident at Hwy. 1126 and Nelson Road in Jefferson Davis Parish.

According to investigators, the victim was on an ATV traveling east on Hwy. 1126 when he was reportedly rear-ended by a 2020 Nissa Altima. The collision purportedly forced Mr. Montie to be ejected.

First responders reportedly rushed the 84-year-old victim to a hospital, but his injuries ultimately proved to be fatal. No other injuries were reported.

Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
