Daniel Alvarado Killed, Felix Cerna, Santiago Miranda Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident on U.S. Hwy. 62 in Hockley County, TX

Hockley County, TX — September 7, 2023, Daniel Alvarado was killed, and Felix Cerna and Santiago Miranda were injured in a crash around 4:45 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 62 in Hockley County.

Investigators say the victim's SUV was traveling southwest on U.S. Hwy. 62, just north of Ropesville, when the vehicle somehow veered toward the driver-side, drove into a ditch, rolled over, and came to a stop upside down on some train tracks.

Authorities report Mr. Miranda was driving while Mr. Alvarado and Mr. Cerna were passengers.

Daniel Alvarado was reportedly pronounced deceased at the crash scene while Felix Cerna and Santiago Miranda were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
