One Injured in Alleged Hit-and-Run Accident on W. Texas Avenue in Midland, TX

Midland, TX — September 4, 2023, one person was injured in an alleged hit-and-run accident around 10:15 p.m. on W. Texas Avenue in Midland.

According to officials, a silver Dodge Caravan struck the victim's motorcycle at the intersection of Andrews Highway and W. Texas Ave. and then fled from the crash heading south.

The motorcyclist was reportedly taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities report the driver of the Dodge Caravan was later located with help from a witness to the accident. The perpetrator reportedly had an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Police recommended sharing the Caravan driver with intoxication assault and failure to stop and render aid.
