Alexa Brown Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident in Smith County, TX

Smith County, TX — August 17, 2023, Alexa Brown was injured following a single-vehicle car accident at around 6:25 p.m. along County Road 1227.

According to investigators in their preliminary statements, the incident happened in the area of County Road 1227 and County Road 1224.

Investigators said that 54-year-old Alexa Brown was in a Ford Fusion said to be going westbound along C.R. 1227. For reasons not entirely clear, the Ford almost collided with an oncoming vehicle, then lost control and swerved off-road. There, the vehicle crashed through a fence.

Details suggest that Brown had incapacitating injuries as a result of the accident. There were no other confirmed injuries. It's unclear if authorities ever spoke with the oncoming vehicle mentioned in the reports. Additional factors cannot be confirmed.
