Densil Anderson, 3 Injured in Car Accident in Austin, TX

Austin, TX — August 22, 2023, Densil Anderson and three others were injured following a car accident at around 4:03 a.m. along Burnet Road.

According to officials, the incident took place along Burnet Road off the corner of the Steck Avenue intersection.

Investigators said that 78-year-old Densil Anderson was in a Buick Lacrosse was going southbound along Burnet Road. Somehow, a Ford Escape also going southbound crashed with Anderson's Buick, causing the Ford to then collide with a northbound police cruiser. The Buick ended up coming to a stop off-road.

Due to the collision, Anderson was said to have incapacitating injuries. The Ford driver and two people in the police vehicle had reportedly non-incapacitating injuries. Right now, details allege that the driver of the Ford was under the influence of alcohol at the time. There was a recommended charge for intoxication assault, but official charges can't be confirmed at this time.
