David Perez Salas, 2 Injured in Car Accident in Bedford, TX

Bedford, TX — August 16, 2023, David Perez Salas and two were injured following a car accident at around 5:58 p.m. along Highway 121.

Authorities released initial details about the crash which reportedly took place along southbound lanes of the freeway near Bedford Road.

According to officials, 38-year-old David Perez Salas was in a Ford Expedition going southbound along Highway 121. Ahead, there was a Cadillac SRX reportedly behaving "recklessly." That vehicle reportedly got onto the toll lane entrance before then moving back to its original lane, but it crashed into a divider in the process. This resulted in the vehicle landing in the path of Salas's vehicle, and the two cars collided.

Salas was said to have incapacitating injuries as a result of the collision. A passenger ion the Ford and the driver of the Cadillac both reportedly had non-incapacitating injuries.

Details from authorities allege that the driver of the Cadillac had been drinking prior to the collision. There appeared to be recommendations for charges of intoxication assault, but official charges are not confirmed at this time.
