Virgilio Sibayan Killed, Four Injured in Vehicle Accident near Lorena, TX

Lorena, TX — September 10, 2023, Virgilio Sibayan was killed, and four were injured in a crash on Interstate 35 northbound near mile marker 325, near Lorena, TX.

Authorities indicate that on September 10, a fatal crash occurred when two vehicles collided near Lorena. According to reports, the crash happened around 6:30 in the evening.

Investigators say a Yukon was traveling along Interstate 35 when it suddenly drove off the roadway and struck a Silverado traveling on the service road. Police say the collision caused the Yukon to roll over. Sources say the driver of the Yukon allegedly lost control of the vehicle due to a medical emergency.

Officials confirmed that 65-year-old Virgilio Sibayan suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Four Yukon occupants reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to area hospitals.

No other injuries were reported.
