Officer Injured in Car Accident near Interstate 10 in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — September 10, a police officer was injured in a car collision at Interstate 10 and Ackerman Road in San Antonio, TX.

Authorities indicate that on September 10, a collision involving a stolen car and a patrol vehicle occurred in San Antonio. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 4:30 in the afternoon.

Investigators say the crash occurred when an officer, following up on a lead, pulled into a hotel just off Interstate 10 and Ackerman Road. Three minors in an alleged stolen car crashed head-on into the patrol vehicle, injuring the officer.

Officials say the police officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
