Nancy Ramirez Castillo, 1 Injured in Alleged Drunk Driver Accident in Grand Prairie, TX

Grand Prairie, TX — July 29, 2023, Nancy Ramirez Castillo and one other were injured after an alleged drunk driver accident at 11:26 p.m. on East Main Street.

Investigators said that the accident took place along East Main/Highway 180 at the intersection with Northeast 9th Street.

According to officials, 43-year-old Nancy Ramirez Castillo and another 43-year-old woman were in a Nissan Sentra going northbound on 9th Street. At East Main, authorities say that an eastbound driver in a Hyundai Veracruz ran a red light, crashing into Ramirez Castillo's vehicle.

As a result of the collision, Ramirez Castillo sustained injuries which were described as incapacitating. The other woman in the Nissan reportedly had non-incapacitating injuries. Authorities allege that the Hyundai driver had a .145 BAC following the crash. Recommendations appear to have been made for charges of intoxication assault with serious bodily injury. Official details are unavailable at this time.
