Robert Barrera Killed in Single-vehicle Accident in Corpus Christi, TX

Corpus Christi, TX — August 7, 2023, Robert Barrera was fatally injured following a single-vehicle motorcycle accident at around 2:14 a.m. along SPID.

According to initial statements about the accident, it happened along South Padre Island Drive in the area of the Laguna Shores Road intersection.

Public information currently available says that 34-year-old Robert Barrera was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle along westbound lanes of SPID. While rounding a curve, the motorcycle somehow went off the shoulder and hit the retaining wall. The motorcycle continued off-road while it appears Barrera was thrown from the bike.

As a result of the accident, Barrera sustained injuries that proved fatal. There were no other motorists reportedly involved. No further information can be confirmed right now.
