Teenager, Man Injured in Car Accident on County Road 122 in Burnet County, TX

Burnet County, TX — August 8, 2023, a teenager and a man sustained injuries due to a single-vehicle car accident at approximately 1:56 a.m. on C.R. 122.

Investigators said in preliminary statements that the crash happened along C.R. 122 in the area of the Slaughter Mountain Road intersection.

Current information suggests that a 17-year-old boy and two 23-year-olds were in a Kia Optima traveling northbound along the roadway. For reasons not currently confirmed, the vehicle ended up going off the left side of the road. There, it crashed into a tree.

The 17-year-old was said to have incapacitating injuries as a result of the crash. One of the 23-year-old was said to have non-incapacitating injuries while the other was in unspecified condition. Currently, additional details about the accident remain unclear.
