Joe Todd Simcox Injured in Car Accident in Hunt County, TX

Hunt County, TX — August 10, 2023, Joe Simcox sustained injuries as the result of a single-vehicle car accident that happened around noon on U.S. Highway 69.

Investigators said in preliminary statements about the accident that it took place at approximately 12:12 p.m. on U.S. 69 near the intersection of F.M. 2947.

According to officials, 69-year-old Joe Todd Simcox was the driver of an Audi 200 Series traveling northwest along the highway. While doing so, the vehicle somehow went off the right side of the roadway before then veering left. The vehicle crossed southbound lanes, went off-road again, and crashed into a tree line.

Simcox was said to have incapacitating injuries as a result of the accident. There did not appear to be any other passengers or motorists involved. Currently, there are no further details to confirm.
