Jon Bryan Killed in Motorcycle/Truck Accident on Interstate 80 in Cedar Rapids, IA

Cedar Rapids, IA — September 9, 2023, Jon Bryan was killed in a motorcycle/truck collision on Interstate 80 near mile marker 197 in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Authorities say that on September 9, a fatal accident occurred when a motorcycle and a semi-truck collided in Cedar Rapids for unknown reasons. According to reports, the two vehicles were traveling eastbound along Interstate 80 when they collided.

Investigators have not determined the cause of the crash, and few details have been released at this time. Police say the motorcyclist struck the rear of the semi-truck near mile marker 197, which caused him to be thrown from the bike. Sources say the motorcycle rider then hit another truck.

Officials confirmed the motorcyclist, Jon Bryan, 57, suffered fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported. Additional information is currently unavailable.
