Shahir Anwar Ahmed Killed in Rollover Accident in Dawson County, TX

Dawson County, TX — August 17, 2023, Shahir Anwar Ahmed was killed following a single-vehicle accident at around 4:40 p.m. along U.S. Highway 87.

According to officials investigating the incident, it happened in the area of Lamesa near U.S. 87 and Farm-to-Market 2212.

Investigators said in their statements that 42-year-old Shahir Anwar Ahmed was in a Porsche reportedly going southbound on the highway. For reasons unconfirmed, the vehicle veered to the left across the median. It then apparently continued across northbound lanes, went off-road, and overturned repeatedly.

Ahmed sustained fatal injuries as a result of the accident. There were no other passengers or motorists reportedly involved in the crash. Right now, additional details about the accident are unavailable.
