Possible Injuries After Three Semi-Truck and Six Car Accident on I-80 in Gary, IN

Gary, IN — July 20, 2023, there may be serious injuries after a three-truck and six-car crash occurred around 5:50 a.m. on I-80 in Gary.

According to sources, three semi-trucks and six passenger vehicles were involved in an early morning pile-up near the exit for Burr Street and mile maker 6 in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80. The collision reportedly caused all lanes expect for the outer right lane to be closed for several hours.

Authorities have not released any other details at this time.
