Arturo Olivarez, One Injured in Multi-Truck Accident on U.S. Hwy. 62 in Lubbock County, TX

Lubbock County, TX — August 7, 2023, Arturo Olivarez and one other person were injured in a truck accident around 1:20 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 62 in Lubbock County.

Sources report Mr. Olivarez's Dodge Ram 1500 was heading west on C.R. 7300 when it reportedly collided with a northbound white Freightliner on U.S. Hwy. 62. The impact allegedly forced the Ram 1500 to spin clockwise off the road. Additionally, the accident purportedly caused the white Freightliner to veer toward its driver-side, drive across the center median, overturn, and collide with a blue Freightliner that was heading south.

Arturo Olivarez, 24, reportedly sustained serious injuries. Officials report the driver of the white semi-truck suffered possible injuries and that the driver of the blue semi-truck was uninjured.

Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
