58-Year-Old Injured in Truck Accident on Karnack Hwy. in Marshall, TX

Marshall, TX — August 8, 2023, one person was injured in a collision with a semi-truck around 2:58 a.m. on Karnack Highway in Marshall.

Officials report the 58-year-old victim was traveling west on Karnack Highway, just east of the intersection with U.S. Hwy. 59, when his Chevy Lumina collided with a Freightliner. The semi-truck was allegedly facing west and attempting to reverse into a private driveway to complete a delivery when the crash occurred.

The Lumina driver was reportedly taken to a medical center with serious injuries. Police recommended charging the semi-truck driver with "Backing up without safety."
