Teenager Injured in Alleged Hit-and-run Accident on Iroquois Street in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — July 15, 2023, a teenager was injured due to an alleged hit-and-run accident at around midnight along Iroquois Street.

According to preliminary information about the accident, the crash happened near the intersection of Iroquois Street and Somerset Road.

Investigators released details indicating that 25-year-old Sean Powell Jr. was in a Toyota Camry which was parked along the eastbound lane of Iroquois. Also in the vehicle were a 17-year-old boy and a 26-year-old woman. While they were in the Toyota along the roadway, a Mitsubishi somehow crashed into Powell's Toyota. That Mitsubishi driver then alleged left the scene on foot.

As a result of the crash, the teenager in the Toyota reportedly had incapacitating injuries. The woman may have been injured, authorities say, and Powell had no listed injuries. Details indicate police apprehended the alleged runaway driver and booked them into jail. Right now, no further information can be confirmed.
