Man Injured in Tractor-Trailer Accident on F.M. 139 in Shelby County, TX

Shelby County, TX — July 11, 2023, a man was injured as the result of a tractor-trailer accident at around 11:00 a.m. along F.M. 139.

Authorities said in preliminary investigations that the crash took place in the area of the Farm-to-Market 139 and Farm-to-Market 2787 intersection.

According to officials, a 66-year-old man was in a Freightliner tractor-trailer said to be traveling southbound alo0ng the roadway. That truck reportedly went around a curve in the road, but the truck ended up going off the right side of the roadway. There, the tractor-trailer overturned.

As a result of the crash, the truck driver sustained injuries which authorities described as incapacitating. There were no other occupants in the truck, and there was no mention of other vehicles being involved in the accident.

Right now, the exact cause of the crash cannot be confirmed.
