Possible Injuries After Truck Accident on I-77 in Kanawha County, WV

Kanawha County, WV — September 7, 2023, there are possible injuries after a semi-truck accident around 9 p.m. on I-77 in Kanawha County.

Officials have released very few details about this incident. It appears this was a single-vehicle semi-truck accident that resulted in injuries. However, none of these details have been confirmed.

The accident purportedly occurred near the mile marker 85 in the Chesapeake area. The Chesapeake Volunteer Fire Department, the Kanawha County Ambulance Authority, and the West Virginia State Police all purportedly responded to the scene.

It seems people were injured, however, authorities have not said how many people were injured, the severity of the injuries, if any other vehicles were involved, or what factors led up to the crash.
