Driver Injured in 18-wheeler Rollover Accident on U.S. 277 in Taylor County, TX

Taylor County, TX — July 13, 2023, a truck driver sustained injuries as the result of a tractor-trailer rollover accident at around 2:40 p.m. along U.S. 277.

According to information about the accident released by authorities, the incident took place near U.S. Highway 277 mile marker 323.

Investigators said that a 63-year-old man was in a Freightliner 18-wheeler said to be going southbound along the highway. The truck reportedly went around a curve while allegedly pulling an overweight load, and the truck left its lane. This led to the truck hitting the guardrail before then overturning.

The truck driver reportedly had incapacitating injuries as a result of the accident. There were no other occupants listed by authorities. Authorities clarified that the driver had permission to transport the overweight cargo. No further information can be confirmed right now.
