Driver Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident on South Pleasant Valley in Austin, TX

Austin, TX — August 25, 2023, one person was fatally injured as the result of a single-vehicle car accident at 5:00 a.m. on South Pleasant Valley Road.

According to initial statements released by Austin Police officials, the incident took place in the area of the South Pleasant Valley Road and East St. Elmo Road intersection, just off the I-35 and Highway 71 interchange.

The statements from authorities indicate that a driver, who has not yet been publicly identified, as in a pickup traveling along South Pleasant Valley. Due to a series of events not clear at this time, the vehicle crashed. This resulted in the unidentified driver succumbing to fatal injuries.

Reports at this time make no mention of anyone else being involved in the crash. The factors leading up to the crash are still under investigation, and no further information can be confirmed right now.
