Sean William Weeks Killed in Tractor-Trailer Accident in Highland County, VA

Highland County, VA — September 7, 2023, Sean William Weeks was killed as the result of a tractor-trailer accident early Thursday on Route 220.

Investigators said in their statements that the incident took place at approximately 4:59 a.m. along Route 220.

According to investigators, 33-year-old Sean William Weeks was on a Honda motorcycle traveling along the highway. Ahead, it appears that a tractor-trailer was attempting to turn around, authorities say. Somehow during this process, details suggest the truck "became disabled." While the truck was blocking lanes, Weeks's motorcycle crashed into the stationary tractor-trailer.

As a result of the crash, Weeks sustained fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported. Right now, additional details about the accident remain unclear.
