Three Injured in Truck Accident on Dawkins Road in Allen County, IN

Allen County, IN — September 7, 2023, three people were injured as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 10:00 a.m. along Dawkins Road.

Authorities said in their statements that the crash happened at the intersection of Dawkins Road (Lincoln Highway) and Ryan Road.

Investigators said in preliminary statements that a van was going eastbound along Dawkins/Lincoln. While crossing Ryan, authorities allege that the semi-truck failed to yield, went through a stop sign, and crashed with the eastbound van.

As a result of the collision, two people in the van were taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries, though one of the occupants was said to be in critical condition. The semi-truck driver was also injured due to the crash. At this time, additional details about the accident are unavailable.
