Susan Ortega Killed in Car Accident in Garland, TX

Garland, TX — August 13, 2023, Susan Ortega sustained fatal injuries as the result of a single-vehicle accident at 1:59 a.m. on Buckingham Road.

Authorities said that the incident took place along West Buckingham Road in the area of North Garland Avenue.

According to officials, 57-year-old Susan Ortega was the driver of a Toyota Rav4 said to be going along eastbound Buckingham. While approaching North Garland, the vehicle somehow went off the right side of the road toward the median separating Buckingham and the right turn lane. There, the vehicle crashed into a pole on the median.

As a result of the collision, Ortega sustained injuries which ultimately proved to be fatal. There were no other reported injuries resulting from the accident. Right now, the exact cause of the crash remains unconfirmed.
