Teenager Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident on Northwest Boulevard in Georgetown, TX

Georgetown, TX — July 22, 2023, a teenager sustained injuries as the result of a single-vehicle car accident at around 8:17 a.m. along Northwest Boulevard.

Preliminary information released by authorities indicates that the crash happened off the corner of the Northwest Boulevard and Lakeway Drive intersection.

According to officials, a 17-year-old boy was in a Nissan Xterra said to be going southbound along Northwest Boulevard. For reasons which are not entirely clear right now, the vehicle entered the crossing, drifted left off the roadway, and crashed through the stop sign along northbound lanes. The vehicle continued off-road and across a driveway before then hitting a tree.

Due to the collision, the teen driver sustained injuries which were described by authorities as incapacitating. No other occupants appeared to be in the vehicle, nor did there appear to be other motorists involved. There are no further details available at this time.
