Driver Injured in 18-wheeler Rollover Accident on I-35 in Webb County, TX

Webb County, TX — July 16, 2023, a driver sustained injuries as the result of a rollover 18-wheeler accident at around 8:40 a.m. along Interstate 35.

Preliminary details about the accident indicate that it took place along the northbound lanes of the interstate in the area of mile marker 22.

Investigators said that a 42-year-old man was behind the wheel of a Freightliner tractor-trailer going northbound on I-35. While doing so, it appears a tire blew out. This led to the truck losing control, and it veered left. The 18-wheeler crashed through the median barrier, then ran across southbound lanes and overturned off-road into the grass between southbound lanes and the service road.

As a result of this accident, the driver of the truck reportedly had incapacitating injuries. There were no other confirmed victims. No further information about the crash is available at this time.
