Young County, TX — September 1, 2023, Codey Jonathon Henderson was killed, and Johhana Sharon Delira was injured in a semi-truck collision in Young County, TX.

Authorities indicate that on September 1, a fatal crash occurred when two vehicles collided in Young County for unknown reasons. According to reports, the accident happened at approximately 6:08 in the morning on Highway 16.

Investigators say a Mustang was traveling northwest along Highway 16 when it allegedly crossed the center lane line into opposing traffic. Police say the Mustang entered the path of an oncoming semi-truck, and the two vehicles collided head-on.

Officials confirmed a passenger in the Mustang, 20-year-old Codey Jonathon Henderson, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The Mustang driver, Johhana Sharon Delira, 20, reportedly sustained injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The extent of the driver's injuries is unknown at this time.

No other injuries were reported. Authorities are investigating the events that led to the crash.
