Leonardo Lechuga Salas, Ivan Lechuga Salas Killed in Car Accident in Odessa, TX

Odessa, TX — August 6, 2023, Leonardo Lechuga Salas and Ivan Lechuga Salas were killed following a single-vehicle accident at 3:13 a.m. on Oakwood Drive.

According to details released by authorities, the incident took place along Oakwood Drive in the area of Cumberland Road.

Officials said in their statements that 20-year-old Leonardo Lechuga Salas and 21-year-old Ivan Lechuga Salas were in a Dodge Ram 1500 said to be going westbound along Oakwood Drive just off the corner of Cumberland. It appears the pickup went over a dip and somehow lost control in doing so. The vehicle then overturned and careened off-road, crashing through a fence.

Authorities say that both Leonardo and Ivan Lechuga Salas sustained fatal injuries due to the accident. It appears no one else was involved in the accident. Available details at this time cannot confirm the exact cause of the accident.
