Driver Injured in Truck Rollover Accident on Highway 6 near Hempstead, TX

Hempstead, TX — September 5, 2023, a driver was injured in a truck collision on Highway 6 near Farm-to-Market 2979 in Waller County, near Hempstead, TX.

Authorities indicate that on September 5, an accident occurred when an 18-wheeler truck collided near Hempstead. According to reports, the accident happened at approximately 9:00 in the morning in Waller County.

Investigators say the truck was traveling along Highway 6 when one of the tires suddenly blew out. Police say the blown tire forced the truck off the road and to overturn near Farm-to-Market 2979. Another vehicle was reportedly hit in the accident, but it is unclear when it occurred.

Officials confirmed the truck driver, whose name has not been released, suffered severe injuries and was flown to an area hospital for medical attention. Sources say no other serious injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
