Kail Slataer, Maunie Montavia Sutton Injured in Car Accident in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — August 9, 2023, Kail Slataer and Maunie Montavia Sutton sustained injuries as the result of a car accident at 2:24 a.m. on UTSA Boulevard.

According to currently public information from the authorities, the incident happened in the area of the UTSA Boulevard and Babcock Road.

Investigators said in their statements that 22-year-old Kail Slataer and 20-year-old Maunie Sutton were passengers in a Chrysler that was reportedly turning from a parking lot onto UTSA. The vehicle then somehow lost control, ran off the side of the road, and crashed into a tree.

Due to the collision, Slataer apparently had serious injuries. Sutton was said to have non-incapacitating injuries. It's unclear if there were any other confirmed injuries. Currently, the cause of the crash cannot be confirmed pending more thorough investigations.
