James Black, 2 Others Injured in Truck Accident on I-40 in Potter County, TX

Potter County, TX — August 2, 2023, James Black and two others were injured in a truck accident around 11:44 a.m. on I-40 in Potter County.

Investigators report the victim's BMW X5 was heading north on Hope Rd. while a Freightliner was westbound on I-40 when the two vehicles collided in the intersection. The nose of the Freightliner reportedly struck the passenger side of the BMW.

Mr. Black and the front-seat passenger of the BMW suffered serious injuries, and the other passenger reportedly suffered minor injuries.

Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
