Michael Owens Killed, Brandon Trewyn Injured in Car Accident on U.S. Hwy. 167 in Independence County, AR

Independence County, AR — September 4, 2023, Michael Owens was killed and Brandon Trewyn was injured in a motor vehicle accident around 3:55 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 167 in Independence County.

According to officials, Owens' vehicle attempted a turn from Pfeiffer Rd. onto U.S. Hwy. 167 when it allegedly collided with Trewyn's southbound Dodge Charger. Authorities say Trewyn attempted to avoid a collision by veering toward the passenger side of his vehicle, but that the nose of the Charger still collided with Owen's motorcycle.

Michael Owens suffered fatal injuries, and Brandon Trewyn was reportedly taken to a medical center.
