According to officials, 40-year-old Ana Acosta was the driver of a Chevy Tahoe traveling along I-45. While doing so, it appears that a Ford F-150 somehow crashed with the Tahoe while changing lanes. This sent both vehicles off-road, across the service road, and off-road again. Both vehicles overturned in the process.

While it appears Acosta and a child in the Tahoe had non-incapacitating injuries, the driver of the Ford was said to have incapacitating injuries. Authorities suggested they were investigating alcohol, but no further information about the crash can be confirmed at this time.
