Marco Tapia Lopez, 1 Injured in Street Sweeper Accident in Harris County, TX

Harris County, TX — August 8, 2023, Marco Tapia Lopez and another driver were injured following a street sweeper accident at 1:40 a.m. on Beaumont Highway.

According to preliminary information about the accident, it took place along Beaumont Highway near the intersection of Sheldon Road.

Details at this time suggest that 27-year-old Marco Antonio Tapia Lopez was in a Chevy Silverado reportedly going westbound on the highway. Ahead was a 32-year-old man in a street sweeper. For reasons which are not entirely clear, the Silverado crashed into the street sweeper along the outside lane of the roadway.

Both Tapia Lopez and the unidentified driver of the street sweeper were said to have incapacitating injuries as a result of the collision. Currently, no further information can be confirmed.
