One Killed in Truck Accident on Highway 50 in Charles Mix County, SD

Charles Mix County, SD — August 29, 2023, one person was killed in a collision with a semi-truck at Highway 46 and Highway 50 in Charles Mix County.

According to authorities, a Dodge Grand Caravan was southbound on Highway 50 while a Peterbilt semi-truck was westbound on Highway 46 when the two vehicles collided. The impact reportedly forced the Dodge Grand Caravan out of the intersection into a ditch on the northern side.

The driver of the Dodge was reportedly taken to Wagner Hospital but later succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

Reports indicate authorities have not determined the cause of the crash.
