One Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 27 in Amarillo, TX

Amarillo, TX — September 2, 2023, a person was injured in a three-car collision on northbound Interstate 27 in Amarillo, TX.

Authorities say that on September 3, a collision involving three vehicles occurred in Amarillo for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 1:15 in the afternoon.

Investigators say a pickup truck was traveling north along Interstate 27 and struck a vehicle while attempting to change lanes. Police say the impact forced the vehicle into opposing traffic, where it was hit by an oncoming third car.

Authorities have not determined the cause of the accident. Officials confirmed the driver of the third vehicle suffered injuries and was taken to an area hospital for medical attention. The injuries were reportedly non-life-threatening.

No other injuries were reported.
