One Killed, One Injured in Car Accident on U.S. Route 59 in Corpus Christi, TX

Corpus Christi, TX — September 3, 2023, a man was killed, and a woman was injured in a car accident on U.S. Route 59 between Bee County and Live Oak County in Corpus Christi, TX.

Authorities indicate that on September 3, a fatal crash occurred when a Ford pickup traveling along U.S. Route 59 suddenly went off the road. According to reports, the accident happened around 8:30 in the morning between Bee County and Live Oak County.

Investigators say the Ford pickup left the roadway and overturned for unknown reasons. Authorities have not determined what caused the accident.

Officials confirmed a male passenger, whose name has not been released, suffered fatal injuries. A female passenger reportedly sustained injuries and was taken to an area hospital for medical attention. The woman's condition is unknown at this time. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
