Erik Galindo Killed in Motorcycle/Truck Accident in Des Plaines, IL

Des Plaines, IL — Sept 1, 2023, Erik Galindo was killed in a motorcycle/truck collision at Touhy Avenue and Wolf Road in Des Plaines, IL.

Authorities indicate that on September 1, a fatal crash occurred when a motorcycle and a semi-truck collided in Des Plaines for unknown reasons. According to reports, both vehicles were headed east at the time of the crash. Police say the motorcycle rear-ended the semi at Touhy Avenue and Wolf Road intersection.

Officials confirmed the motorcyclist, 26-year-old Erik Galindo, suffered fatal injuries. The semi-truck driver reportedly escaped the collision with no injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
