Two Injured in Truck Accident on Ind. 14 in Newton County, IN

Newton County, IN — September 1, 2023, two people were injured in a collision with a semi-truck around 11 p.m. on Ind. 14 in Newton County.

According to authorities, an eastbound Honda Civic began to experience technical difficulties and came to a stop in the roadway. A passing motorist reportedly assisted in moving the vehicle onto the northern side of the road where the Civic was then purportedly struck by a westbound semi-truck. The semi-truck then allegedly continued off the roadway and overturned.

The two occupants in the Honda Civic were reportedly taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
