Clarence, MO — September 1, 2023, Robert Lansing was killed, and two were injured in a truck collision on Highway 36 near Clarence, MO.

Authorities indicate that on September 1, a fatal accident occurred when an SUV and a tractor-trailer collided near Clarence for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened just before 9:00 at night.

Investigators say the SUV was traveling along Highway 36 when it suddenly went into another lane and was struck by the oncoming truck. Sources say the impact forced the SUV off the road, where it flipped and threw a passenger from the car.

Officials confirmed that an SUV occupant, 73-year-old Robert Lansing, had fatal injuries in the wreck. Police say the SUV driver and a child passenger sustained severe injuries and were flown to an area hospital for medical attention. No additional information has been released at this time.

No other injuries were reported.
