Three Injured in Tanker Truck Accident on Interstate 84 in Manchester, CT

Manchester, CT — September 3, 2023, three people were injured in a tanker truck accident on eastbound Interstate 84 at Exit 60 in Manchester, CT.

Authorities indicate that on September 3, an accident occurred when a tanker truck and another vehicle collided in Manchester. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 7:00 in the evening.

Investigators have not determined the cause of the accident. Police say the truck and vehicle collided along Interstate 84 at Exit 60, causing the tanker to burst into flames at the scene. Sources say the tanker was hauling several thousand gallons of fuel.

Officials confirmed three people sustained injuries and were taken to an area hospital for medical attention. The injuries were reported as non-life-threatening. No other injuries were reported.
